23rd December 2009: JCDS (UK) Ltd receive a Special Delivery letter from the Royal Mail's lawyers addressed to Mr James Cauty and Mr S Low trading as L-13.
The letter is dated 4th January, it makes claims about infringing intellectual property rights, passing off of property, breach of contract, and asks for a response within 14 days with an agreement to cease and desist, pay the RMs legal fees and pay an undisclosed figure in compensation.
18th January 2010: After a period of careful consideration, Mr James Cauty and Mr S Low trading as L-13 respond in writing to the Royal Mail's lawyers.

This is possibly the last time that the image of the Queen will be used by James Cauty in the context of a stamp design until the Queen is succeeded to the throne by her heir.
If the Royal Mail agree to stop threatening and intimidating us over the use of such appropriations this print will be withdrawn from sight and sale for ever more.
